About Us
We are 5th graders who are doing a unit on publishing, and we decided to make a website about local food. We each chose a topic relating to local food. Then, we met many experts and chefs who know a lot about local food, including Allan and Chris Green, Shane Ingram, Sheila and Matt Neal, and Amy Tornquist. They helped us to understand how important eating local is.
We think local food helps our community’s economy, tastes better, is better for our health, and is better for the earth. We all watched parts of the movie Food, Inc., and it definitely changed our thoughts about local food. We hope you learn a lot from our website, and we hope you enjoy.
