Food, Inc. Documentary Review

Picture
This inspiring, well-produced, and heart-touching documentary makes it hard to eat afterwards and might change the way you eat forever. I recommend this movie to those who can take a hard punch and learn something from it. Food, Inc. is an excellent movie that really focuses on telling people what they are actually eating. Slaughterhouses, chicken houses, and “food” factories are all featured in Food, Inc.  A box might say your food is from a bright, happy farm right in the middle of Iowa, but the movie shows that it’s really from a die-hard factory or slaughterhouse. Food, Inc. tells you  that companies actually load your food with unhealthy ingredients. This documentary tells you about all the chemicals and antibiotic- filled poultry and beef. The documentary also tells you about the tragic, horrible animal houses where animals stand ankle-deep in their own fecies all day and are fed liquid antibiotics to grow quicker, fatter, and “better”. This gruesome way of growing beef has affected human beings and brought America to extreme obesity. Obesity has been a repeating problem, leading to diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Many other dangers are lurking upon Americans today, killing those who can’t stop eating. Food, Inc. teaches you the ugly truth about what you’re actually eating and hopes that you will turn it around and eat a better way.
